This is an iconic example of the covered bridges/watermills/grist mills painted in the late 20th century by this prolific artist. The artist, K. Michaelson, was reported to have been a Japanese prisoner of war. He is also reported to have made his own frames for his works characterized by a strip of inset cloth which this frame job has.
